I will admit that I have just started discovering this band with their latest album, but it is so impressive that the band already ranks on this list. Absu is one of the U.S.'s very first black metal bands and their mystical, occult lyrics and twisted music make one hell of an impression. Their music is a mix of black and thrash at this point but it is catchy and powerful. The drumming in particular is incredible, performed by Proscriptor, who also provides vocals and did the drums on some of Melechesh's work.FAVORITE ALBUM: ABSU
I wasn't sure how I felt about the newest album. I love Tara though.
