Honestly, I have not heard a single one of those albums. I am surprised Iron Maiden is not listed.

I've heard 4 of those albums, and none of them is even close to being worthy of "album of the year" consideration. In fact, one of them (Audio Secrecy) finally convinced me to stop following the band that released it. Beyond Hell / Above Heaven is the best of that particular bunch.
ReplyDeleteAnd on the best new band front . . . um, they're not really all new bands. It's a cop-out to nominate a "same band with a different name" or a supergroup.
