I have been getting into more and more NWOBHM music. I do have my own opinion but I will not vote.
That's a tough question. I recently got Diamond Head's album, and even though I hated the Metallica version of "It's Electric" (probably the only Metallica song I actually hate, even including the loads) the original is actually quite good. I'm not terribly familiar with the Blitzkrieg, Angel Witch, and Raven ones. But I'll have to go with Maiden. It's a bit obvious, but it's tough to beat.
ReplyDeleteThere's a lot of great tracks on that Diamond Head album, including "The Prince" and "Am I Evil?" Both, oddly covered by Metallica, along with "Helpless".
ReplyDeleteI choose Sweet Savage "Killing time". For me, it's almost perfect and represents the NWOBHM like noone else.
ReplyDeleteIt was a tough call for me between Number of the Beast and Angel Witch, but in the end Maiden got the nod.
