Weekly Recap: 7/4-7/10

Sunday was the 4th of July and my fiancee and I stayed home. Since we have weddings out of town every other weekend this month, it was nice to be home. It also meant that we had the rare holiday where we got to do our own thing. It was a very good holiday that involved grilling outside and then setting off fireworks. We didn't have a lot, but we had a pretty decent show. The Reaper was outside with us as well and gradually stopped fearing the noise as the night wore on.

Monday and Friday I was off work. The office was closed on Monday due to the holiday and Friday was the Madison County Bar Association Summer Outing, which for some stupid reason did not allow families. Very disappointing. The rest of the week was spent briefing depositions. I hate that stuff.

From a metal standpoint, I picked up two new CDs, Witchery and Pathology. These are two more examples of inconsistency regarding Hastings. Witchery is on the same label as Nachtmystium and Nevermore and yet, they got Witchery, but not the other two. Pathology is on Victory Records, a label known for hardcore. Odd for a slam death band.
